報告者及び報告論題－Laurent Pordie, 'Processes and Places of Therapeutic
Innovation in Indian Medicine: Toward an Anthropology of today's
Ayurvedic resorts'

報告の梗概－Ayurveda will then be used to illustrate what I name the
making of new therapies "within" ayurveda. I will explore processes and
places of therapeutic innovation, the social dynamics that frame and
transform ayurvedic practice, and the integration of landscape and the
notion of place in the healing processes. I will try to show how the
idea of landscape is integrated in new ways into such forms of therapies
which claim an affiliation to Ayurveda.
 

報告者（Laurent Pordie先生）のプロファイル－ハイデルベルク大学"アジア＆ヨーロッパ"研究拠点、研究グループリーダー。人類学博士、薬学博士。カンボジア及びインド・ラダックにて薬学・人類学の調査研究をおこない、2004年から2008年にかけて、インドのポンディシェリー・フランス研究所において人文科学研究部門の主任、2006年及び2008年にネルー大学の客員教授を歴任する。氏の研究は医療人類学を基盤にしているが、生物学と社会科学とを繋ぎ合わせていくことを常に念頭においている。現在、インド・チベット医学の社会変容及びインドの治癒における"ランドスケープ"の問題を中心的な研究課題としており、"癒し"やヘルス・ツーリズムといった今日的な現象にたいしても、医療としての"効果"、地政学的な視点を考慮しながら取り組んでいる。
